Fraudulent Review Policy

 

 

1. Our Commitment to Authenticity

At Vebo Pet Supplies, we value genuine feedback. Reviews help our community make informed decisions. To ensure the integrity of our platform, we have a zero-tolerance policy regarding fraudulent, spammy, or incentivized content that misleads our customers.

2. What We Consider "Fraudulent" or "Spammy"

We reserve the right to remove any review that meets the following criteria:

  • Fake Reviews: Content written by individuals who have not genuinely purchased or used the product.

  • Conflict of Interest: Reviews posted by employees, competitors, or individuals with a financial interest in the product (unless a material connection is clearly disclosed).

  • Incentivized Reviews (Undisclosed): Reviews offered in exchange for payment, discounts, or free products that do not clearly state: "I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review."

  • Bot/Automated Content: Any review generated by AI or automated scripts.

  • Duplicate Content: The same review posted across multiple products or from multiple accounts by the same user.

  • Irrelevant Content (Spam): Reviews containing promotional links, advertisements, or gibberish unrelated to the product.

3. Compliance with Australian Consumer Law

In accordance with ACCC guidelines, we do not:

  1. Selectively Publish: We do not "cherry-pick" only 5-star reviews while hiding legitimate negative ones.

  2. Edit Reviews: We will not alter the sentiment or wording of a customer's review to make it more favorable.

  3. Delay Posting: We aim to publish all legitimate reviews in a timely manner, regardless of the rating.

4. Moderation Process

All reviews may undergo a brief moderation period. During this time, our systems check for:

  • Profanity or Hate Speech: Content that is offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory.

  • Personal Information: Reviews containing phone numbers, email addresses, or physical addresses (to protect your privacy).

  • Malicious Links: Any URLs leading to external websites or potential malware.

5. How We Handle Violations

If a review is identified as fraudulent or spammy:

  • The review will be immediately removed.

  • The associated user account may be flagged or suspended.

  • In cases of organized "review farming" or competitor sabotage, we may report the activity to the ACCC.

6. Reporting a Review

If you spot a review that you believe is fake or violates our terms, please contact our support team at info@vebopet.com.au. We investigate all reports of suspicious activity.
